March 21, 1965
That old McMinnville landmark, the former St. Barnabas’ Episcopal Church on the south east corner of 5th and Davis Streets which was vacated in December, in the process of being torn down was collapsed Monday on once hallowed ground, property now owned by General Hospital. According to hospital administrator Milton Robins, bids will be let March 30th for a new building to be connected to the present plant by a bridge. The new facility will house doctors' offices, the hospital business office, basement parking for 22 cars and a pharmacy which will be leased.
