Cautious drivers slowly inch along N. Baker Street where constructions crews have removed the highway shoulder leaving a vertical four foot drop. The work is part of a project which will result in the widening of Highway 99W to four lanes from the Lafayette Avenue intersection to the Baker Street intersection. Good weather has speeded the project which is behind schedule due to unseasonable weather earlier in the year.
