Old and New - Veteran Navy Petty Officer Floyd Knope of Yamhill examines the Navy uniform he last wore in 1947. Knope re-enlisted in the U.S. Naval Reserve at one of the recent Monday night meetings of NRED 13-11 in McMinnville, as Signalman Second Class, the same rate that he was discharged with from the USS Ellison DD864 16 years ago. Looking on are Roger D. Baker (center) a Junior at McMinnville High School and Ken McKnight of Willamina. Both men were recently sworn into NRED 13-11 and are awaiting the issue of their sea bag.
