NEW CULTIVATOR-—The whirling teeth of this triple tiller, powered by a 133 horsepower diesel engine, “plow” a seven-foot wide swath of ground. The teeth, alternately straight and hooked. will go down to a maximum depth of nine inches, tearing up even a heavy stand of grass. Each tooth is protected by a clutch to prevent breakage. The depth of cut is manually controlled by a hydraulic lift. lt is believed that use of this type of ground breaker will eliminate the usual hard plow sole formed by the conventional type of plow. According to the owners, Guy and Walter Shumway, this is the only seven-foot triple tiller in the state. They have added attachments to the tiller so that a seeder, as shown in the picture, may be pulled behind the tiller as well as a fertilizer distributor so that all these operations may be done at once, saving time and money.
