6-18-1955 Big Truck To Give Cookies A Lift
Ready To Roll-This huge truck and semi-trailer was delivered this week to Swanson Cookie Co., McMinnville, marking another major expansion move of the firm which has been in the city a little over a year, the truck, capable of hauling 36,000 packages of cookies, will go on an expanded route, made necessary by the company's wide acceptance in this area, Herman Larsen of Vinton & Larsen, McMinnville, turns over the keys to C.W. Smith, partner in the cookie firm. The truck’s load will represent two day’s output of the plant which has expanded tremendously since its opening here a short time ago.
