One of the worst droughts in many years was finally broken this week when clouds dumped more than half an inch of rain on the area. According to the official KMCM weather station a total of .38 of an inch fell Monday and .21 of an inch fell Tuesday. This was the first measurable rain since Aug. 19 when .25 of an inch was recorded. Christy Stinson, left and Nancy Weber were caught in the downpour, but like most area residents they didn't mind at all.
