This young Santa, appropriately bearded and padded, was pulled along the parade route by a pair of “reindeer” during the annual Kiwanis Kids Day Parade, an event that traditionally kicks off the Christmas season in McMinnville. More than 200 youngsters and their pets, bicycles and handmade floats entered the annual event. The official lighting ceremony for the colorful Christmas decorations strung along the city’s streets was to be held Friday night.
