Hiker Walks 4,750 Miles
No bus ride for this man. He is “Walking John” Frey, who has hiked more than 4,750 miles in a trip from New York to San Francisco and from the Mexican border to McMinnville. He plans to continue walking to Alaska. The walking stick he carries is made of honey locust, given to him by a friend to replace an aspen cane be broke fighting with a rattlesnake in Colorado.
