Halloween Prank--Many of those who passed Amity high school during the week-end saw the buggy snagged on the bell tower and were reminded of their own escapades in days gone by. The buggy was apparently hauled there on Halloween by boys with super-abundant energy. The carriage turned out to be the property of Felte Bontrager, Route 1, Amity, who claimed it good humoredly Monday afternoon upon its removal from the roof. Rex Menegat, Amity high school principal, said the boys playing the trick were not caught. He estimated the carriage was perched on the tower after 2 a.m. when the janitor-night-watchman, L.G. Emerson, left for home. Menegat suspects that “perhaps a couple of the boys who put the buggy on top might have also helped to remove it Monday afternoon.”
