1938-3-10, Whiteson Bridge Nears Completion,
"The bridge over the South Yamhill river on highway 99-W near Whiteson, shown here nearing completion, will probably be ready for traffic about May 10, members of the state highway departments staff in charge of construction said this week. Opening was originally set for March 1, but adverse weather conditions and other difficulties delayed the work. Total cost of the bridge, including the paying and the construction of a subway under the Southern Pacific railway tracks, will be about $185,000. The overall length of the bridge will be 1213 feet, with the main span reaching about 250 feet. The highest point of the bridge will be 54 feet above the low water mark in the river."
