Flagpole From County -- That's what this 95-foot hunk of timber is destined for--to be the flagpole at the Exposition-Recreation Center in Portland. Shown (left to right) are Clyde Bones, driver of the truck; Newton Fruit, Dayton area farmer from whose land the pig pole was hauled; and Fred Lockyear, owner of a planning mill in Sherwood which will trim the tree to flagpole size.
