OPERATION OF BOWLING lane moving was completed Sunday with movement of eight lanes from Walnut City Bowl to the firm’s new 16-lane home at the junction of Highways 99W and 18 at McMinnville's South city limits. Hanging over the street is one of 16 sections moved. it was necessary to divide each lane in two to transport them to the new building, now under construction. Each section was shoved through a window where cables on the hoist at left were attached and the piece lowered to the bed of the truck at the right. The new bowling layout should be ready for a grand opening late this month, according to owner Arvid Ekman.
