Relatives of SP/4 Dennis Lee Cole of Sheridan taped a message to the soldier at KMCM radio station recently. Nine families signed up to have their personal messages recorded and sent them, along with a polaroid picture, to servicemen in time for Christmas. Cole is stationed in Germany and will be home in March of 1968. KMCM donated its facilities for the project sponsored by the Red Cross. In the back row are (I-r) Mrs. Winnie Hall at Grand Ronde, Mrs. Juanita Lien, Judy Maxfield, Kathleen Cole and Gary Maxfield. The Maxfields are from Willamina and the Coles live in Sheridan. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Cole of Sheridan and Mike Maxfield are in the front row. Bob Mattecheck volunteered for the Red Cross to assist in the taping.
