Great Iron Eagle, weighing nearly 300 pounds, was recovered by McMinnville City Police after it was stolen early Sunday morning from atop the A.C. Haag company here. The hefty bird gets an examination by Assistant Chief Ken Gudeman (left) and Officer Phil Gilson while sitting in the police station. One youth was arrested on a larceny charge arising from the theft. A large plate glass window at the farm equipment firm was broken when the thieves lowered the eagle over the edge of the building.
