At Dam Site - Checking clearing operations underway at the site of the proposed McGuire Dam and Reservoir, which will impound more than two billion gallons of water for McMinnville, is Alan Jones, general manager of the City Water and Light Department. The city traded timberland outside the watershed to Willamette Industries, Inc. for the site. Willamette crews are logging the area and will clear the dam and reservoir site yet this year. Water will be available from the new dam in mid-1969, Jones said.
