Winter Barely Touches Foot hills With First Snowfall
Snow just tinges the tips of the foothills west of McMinnville with a topping of white as the season’s first snowfall hit briefly Monday. About two inches of the white stuff fell at higher elevations. Om the valley floor, flakes melted as they hit. January’s precipitation had already surpassed a mark set in January, 1883, and is one of three wettest in Oregon’s history.
