1955-5-10 These Rolling Stones Gathered Moss
No moss gathered on these Mcminnville volunteer firemen Sunday when they headed into the mountains of the Coast range to gather moss and greenery for use in decorating the Mcminnville armory for Saturday night’s annual Blossom Dance. The armory will be turned into a bower of greenery and special decorations for the famed event. Firemen and their families made a day of it sunday, with work details scouring the hills in the vicinity of Mitchell’s “Gap O’ The Mountain” ranch in the morning and then enjoying a picnic dinner at Mitchell’s spacious picnic grounds.
