Beauty Marks Proffered Park Site

PARK POSSIBILITIES. Members of the Yamhill county court and park commission view the lower Willamina river falls, some eight miles north of Willamina, where Frank Barrett, Wilamina, has offered to deed a five-acre tract, extending a quarter of a mile along both sides of the river, for a county park site. Members of the group, Albert Youngberg, county commissioner, Barrett, County Judge R, E, Renne, Dave Saucey, Dundee, park commissioner, Charles Newman, county commissioner, and Stuart Grenfell, park commissioner, visited the area Tuesday afternoon to survey possibilities of the area. The group tramped through mud and rain to look over the five-acre tract, one of the beauty spots for recreation in Western Oregon. Action on the park offer will be discussed at the next commission meeting, May 9.
