A few years of age didn’t bother this group of elderly ladies from Walnut City Home in McMinnville when they decided it was time to head out to cut their Christmas tree. They journeyed to the old Hendricks homestead on the Carlton-Newberg road and returned, complete with tree, for trimmin’ of the greens. Left to right, Mrs. Gertrude Stubberfield, nursing aide Mrs. Elsie Daher, Mrs. Jenne Lowands, Rose Murphy, Mrs. Eunice Hibbs who is 92, Mrs. Dolly Antrican, Mrs. Belle Wilkinson, and nursing aide Mabel Miller. The nursing home is starting its Christmas season a little early this year with the annual visit of the Carlton ABC club Thursday evening.
