INTRODUCING contestants in the weekly KMCM Talent Revue presented each Saturday afternoon from the stage of the Lark Theater in McMinnville is KMCM Manager Lou Gillette. Marvis Fredricks, (seated far right) 1431 North Evans street, McMinnville, won last Saturday's Talent Revue with her vocal interpretations. Of perhaps even greater interest to oldtimers of this area is the backdrop, discovered among Lark Theater props and brought into service to lend color to the occasion. In Use well over 35 years ago, the backdrop served to bring advertising messages to theater patrons. Most of the firms shown above have been merged or were purchased in later years with consequent change in name Only firm shown which has not been changed is the Telephone Register, whose advertisement may be seen at far left. Location of the newspaper at that time was on Second street. McMinnville National bank Iater became the United States National bank.
