Part of the colorful parade at the Dayton Buckeroo celebration Saturday, is shown above. Top left the Yamhill County Sheriff’s Posse Majorettes pose prettily after winning first prize in the marching division. Center left is a picture of the grand entry to the rodeo grounds following the parade. Lower left is the second float of the McMinnville chamber of commerce, “Yamhill river boat”. Lower center is the grand prize winner of the Dayton civic club. Upper right is the Lafayette fire departments entry in the old time division, which copped first prize. Right center is the best dressed cowgirl, Dorothy McPhillips, St. Paul, left, and Pat and Betty Zwick, twin queens who ruled over the celebration. Lower right, Carl Francis congratulates the Dayton Welding company for its first prize in the commercial division.
