Giving The Word-on how they’ll attempt to retrace the route to the coast traveled by Ralph Wortman’s 1901 Locomobile some 45 years ago is that same Ralph Wortman (at left) as he speaks for the KMCM microphone held by Dudley Gaylord of the KMCM special events staff. At center, is Karl Jernes of Portland, complete with the linen duster, who piloted a 1910 Franklin successfully to Tillamook. At right (center) are Mr. and Mrs. Julian Eccles, McMinnville, beside their 1916 Pierce-Arrow. Eccles organized the trek to Tillamook last weekend which was made up of cars and owners from the Oregon Historical Automobile Society.
