1949-4-21 General hospital, two sets of twins.jpeg

April 21, 1949
A double bundle of Easter joy arrived at the General Hospital, McMinnville, Saturday. At left, Angeline Markel holds the Grow twins, Larry and Linda. Linda arrived at 8:04 a.m. and weighed in at 3 pounds, 12 ounces, while Larry was born just four minutes later and tipped the scales at 4 pounds, 5 ounces. Parents are Mr. and Mrs. Russell B. Grow, 116 Johnson Street, McMinnville. Still too sleepy to register protest at a photographer’s intrusion into their private lives are twin girls, Joyanne and Joanne Tackett, daughters of Mr. and Mrs. William Tackett, Carlton. Nurse Virginia Clubb holds the two infants, who weighed 5 pounds and 4 pounds, 11 ounces, respectively. This is the first time in the local hospital’s history that two sets of twins have been born the same day.
