OFFICIAL OPENING of Yamhill county's new radio station, KMCM, saw Mayor R. H. Windishar, McMinnville, officially put the 100-watt station “on the air” Dr. Homer Hester (left) mayor of Newberg, was among other Yamhill county mayors who extended congratulations on the opening. S.J. Osborne, seated next to Hester, spoke briefly on services that would be rendered by the station. Osborne is executive secretary for Yamhill County chapter, American Red Cross. At right are members of Steve Paietta’s KGW orchestra which provided music for the occasion.
