THANKSGIVING CHEER for 20 families was included in these boxes of foodstuffs gathered by the social and welfare committee of the McMinnville junior high school. Patricia Hutchens, chairman of the committee said the boxes contained meat and fowl enough for 11 families and enough other food staples were provided to give nine more families a good Thanksgiving dinner. On the average of 11 students collected enough food for each family served. The food was distributed to the needy families on Wednesday before Thanksgiving. Red Cross officials provided names of needy families to which the foodstuffs were delivered. The Thanksgiving project of food distribution was begun two years ago.
