October 3, 1962 altbr/ Beautiful Gift - Thirty-two plus acres of partially wooded property including the lodge, Rainbow Lake, and grounds were donated to the county by Willamette Valley Lumber Company. The property was first developed by the Charles F. Metskers as a personal resort. Early in the summer, after some title controversy, the county acquired the land, and recently appointed Wayne Jones director. Mr. and Mrs. Jones will serve as foster parents for wards of the court at the lodge.
