October 14, 1962br/Fallen Giant - This huge oak tree came crashing down onto the Stanley Curyea home west of McMinnville Thursday as roaring winds ripped across the county. The storm, described by some residents as tornado-like with a ldquo;funnel-shapedrdquo; cloud, caused extensive damage to the Curyea farm and several others in the area.
