July 29, 1962br/Picking Starts -- Two of the 800 pickers who turned out to pick beans at Aldermanrsquo;s bean field on Grand Island, near Dayton, paused from their work long enough to show the News-Register photographer how this picking business is done. Approximately 1000 pickers were at the Grand Island field Saturday.
