August 19, 1962br/Enjoying Own Cooking - Taking a break from the ldquo;slightly warmquot; task of barbecuing turkey to feed 6000 area residents during the Aug. 11 Turkey-Rama event in McMinnville were these three McMinnville men. Working over hot charcoal (left to right) Pete Mead, Harold Lewis and James Craig, were members of the large crew that prepared the delicious barbecued turkey. With the end of the 1962 Turkey-Rama, planning got underway for a bigger and better 1963 turkey event.
