April 10, 1962br/Award Received - State police officers in the McMinnville detachment have received a second consecutive plaque for a year of automobile operations without an accident. The McMinnville unit is the only detachment in District 1 to receive this award two years in a row. Presenting the award is Lt. John D'Angelo (left) from District 1 Headquartersbr/at Milwaukie. Accepting the award for outstanding achievement in defensive driving is, Sgt. George Bailey, who heads the detachment. One of the officers whose safe driving brought the award to the unit is Robert Walsh (in car). Patrol cars from the McMinnville office travel more than 300,000 miles per year in all types of weather.
