September 9, 1962br/Award Received -- Sale of 25 bottles of Pepsi-Cola to every person in Yamhill county resulted in presentation of a plaque to Pat Scovall (second from left) owner of the McMinnville bottling company. Scovall is one of only four Oregon distributors to receive the award for reaching this sales plateau, which represented a big increase in Pepsi-Cola sales over the county. Presentation of the award was made at a Friday night banquet by L. Edward Smith, (second from right) regional manager for the soft-drink company from San Francisco, and Robert L. Prasil (right) of Portland, district manager, while George Scovall, co-owner at the McMinnville company, looked on.
