OVER AN INCH LONG was official verdict of the measuring committee Friday morning as Norris Johnson McMinnville chamber executive, with glass, and Jim Beard, with ruler, check hair length of Larry Freeman’s mutton chops. The group found Freeman’s Centennial beard the “growingist" of all on display at the Brothers of the Brush breakfast gathering. Watching with interest were Dick Dresie, Karleene Morrow and Walt Selisch, who later in the morning was elected King of the bearded brethren.
