The Bridge: initiative ok'd, grant extension approved by EDA office

County Clerk Jack Beeler Wednesday receives an initiative petition concerning proposed Willamette River bridge from Eugene attorney Edward Fadeley, representing Yamhill Citizens for Responsible Government committee, while the committee chairman Carl Dauenhauer of Hopewell and Richard Bodeen of Yamhill committee member, look on. Petition was accepted by district Attorney Don Blensly and if it complies with regulations, measure will be placed on general election ballot in November. However, county is trying to get court opinion on the petition's validity.
