Annual Twirling contest slated in Mac April 4
Pretty contestants like these shown will again be on hand for the annual McMinnville Lions Twirling Contest Saturday, April 4, at the McMinnville High gym starting at 9 a.m. Over 232 entries in over 600 competition events have been received by event chairman Leon Babcock. Twenty three small teams made up of over 100 contestants and nine corps or dance and twirl teams involving 250 twirlers will be competing for trophies. Entrants come from throughout Oregon, Washington and two are coming from Vancouver, B. C. The event will last throughout the day.
