Members of various veterans’ groups and their auxiliaries paid tribute to the county’s war dead during special Veterans’ Day ceremonies Friday. Highlight of the observance was a talk at the Soldier memorial at the courthouse by the Rev. Earl Franklin. Wreaths were placed at the base of the memorial.
