Dr. J.A. Jonasson, dean of administration at Linfield college, accepts an unrestricted grant of $3,000 from Robert Armstrong, manager of the McMinnville Sears store. Armstrong made the presentation on behalf of the Sears-Roebuck Foundation. The grant is part of $1 million being distributed by the Foundation to privately supported colleges and universities.
