LION IN THE DOG HOUSE—What happens to a Lion who doesn’t attend meetings regularly shouldn’t happen to a dog . . . or so Forest Garrigus seems to be saying as he forks over the necessary fine to Chief Tailtwister Harry Dawson at last week’s Lion Club meeting while Lion President Earl Shrock clutches tightly at Bowser’s chain. Local Lions are showing irregular members that they mean business by bringing non-attenders to meetings on the end of a dog chain and establishing them in the club dog house. Lion Woodrow Conklin acts as head of the “posse” charged with the responsibility of seeking out absent members.
